He
began painting as a little boy motivated by his family.
At the beginning, he used acrylic painting and then
turned to oil technique.
Flavio always demonstrated through his art an enormous
interest for nature that grew more and more with great
clarity and force in his paintings as well as within
himself. |

Even
though he loved the ocean since his childhood, it is
only when he was 12 years old that Flavio began a new
phase in his life that marked him not only as an artist,
but also as a human being.
It was through surfing that Flavio understood that
nature was the source of his inspiration. Through his
trips looking for the perfect waves and inhospitable
beaches, Flavio found an incredible source of images,
emotions and experiences that fed his senses, shown
through his paintings. |

Flavio's painting style is based in a mixture of
hyperrealism with a surrealist composition, where we can
observe how the surface world unifies with the submarine
world. In this regard, the perfection and detailed
representation of nature presents itself in a magic and
illuminated environment, where light and color
transparency give a paradisiacal touch to his paintings.
